Opportunities Overseas

Please find attached information about the 2,000 Grants for North American Language and Culture Assistants (Cultural Ambassadors) in schools in Spain for the 2011/2012 school year. This program is designed for college graduates, as well as college seniors and juniors. US or Canadian passport is required.

The application deadline is March 31, 2011, and complete information is provided at the Spanish Embassy Education Office website:

Please,feel free to forward this email among your students and make the attached brochure and poster available to them at your Resource Center, Library or Department public area. It is very important that you let the candidates know that there is NO APPLICATION FEE and that they do not have to provide any kind of deposit.

Around 1,500 US and Canadian graduates and students are currently participating in this assistantship program in Spanish schools. Special thanks to those of you who have collaborated with us for several years and have contributed to the enormous success of this program. We are convinced that the positions offered for the upcoming school year will continue to provide your graduates and students with a unique opportunity to improve their Spanish language and teaching skills and become immersed in the culture and history of Spain.
